Mitchell and Peach

Mitchell and Peach is a beauty brand with so much incredible history and heritage and their bath and body products holds a reassuring essence of quality and luxury that you can't help but adore the products and what the brand stands for...

I first discovered this wonderful brand when I realised they were partnering with The Surrey Hotel in New York City and as I was going there to review the Cornelia Spa it made sense for me to try out the Mitchell and Peach products during my visit. The Surrey is the first US hotel to use Mitchell and Peach products and I was more than delighted that this amazing hotel and spa have chosen to work with this family run beauty brand based in Kent which is my own family county! Even closer to my heart and more of a reason for me to support them.

The History of Mitchell and Peach

All Mitchell and Peach products are carefully hand-blended in England using the finest natural ingredients, including matured essential oils from the Mitchell families own fields and honey collected from hives on the estate.
The Mitchell family farm has been running for five generations cultivating a variety of different products from strawberries and apples to hops, cobnuts and lavender. This lavender is the lavender that gives the 'peachy' aroma as it smells so sweet and peachy, which gave Mitchell and Peach its name!

I was lucky enough to interview Jod owner of Mitchell and Peach and here's what the man behind the brand has to say...

Who are M&P products typically aimed at?
Mitchell and Peach is aimed at those who want to treat themselves and their loved ones, but above all it is for anyone who values quality and purity in the products they use. It is a brand for people who care about exactly what is in all their products, where they come from and how they are made.

The Surrey hotel and Mitchell and Peach partner sounds fabulous I'm very excited to go over to New York and check it out for myself! How did the partnership form?
We were looking to branch out in the US and work with a hotel partner in New York that had our same standards and values of quality and excellence. We had also heard that British actress Emilia Fox is an ambassador for the hotel so thought that to work with a New York hotel with a quintessential English Rose as their ambassador would be a lovely fit.

Which M&P special ingredients have inspired the 'English Garden' cocktail?
‘The English Garden’ is a really special cocktail that has been inspired by our Mitchell and Peach farm here in Kent as well as The Surrey’s New York home. Fresh peach segments have been used in the cocktail as the lavender in Mitchell and Peach products exude a beautiful peachy aroma – this is also how Mitchell and Peach got its name. As well as the drizzle of delicious Elderflower liquor, there is of course a final sprig of lavender which really symbolises and embodies the foundation of Mitchell and Peach from the lavender grown in our fields and subsequently used in our products.

What is your favourite product and why from the collection launching at The Surrey?
I really love the shower wash that will be placed in all rooms at The Surrey – it not only feels refreshing and invigorating to wake you up in the morning but the lavender scent is perfect for soothing and calming at night too. Another favourite of mine is our best-selling Kentish Cobnut scrub, a fantastic exfoliator made from our very own cobnut plantation. This isn’t available at The Surrey just yet, but if guests are tempted to give it a try, the whole range is available on mitchellandpeach.com

My favourite product of the Mitchell and Peach collection at the moment has to be the Luxurious hand cream, its DEVINE and remains in my handbag at all times now!
Loved by Yasmin Le Bon and Vogue's beauty editor Nicola Moulton I can assure you, you will not be disappointed so If you do get a chance to try Mitchell and Peach products you must! This brand is lovely through and through and make the most perfect Christmas gifts!
