Heaven Scent

Saturday, 8 June 2013

I've become totally and utterly addicted to fragrances, I've always loved perfume but my obsession has entered a new level, so writing a blog post about my favourite scents of the moment seemed well overdue.
I absolutely adore discovering new fragrances and wearing them according to my mood and the occasion, some staple scents will never change for me. For example if I'm going for drinks to somewhere exclusive and classy I will always wear Chanel Noir, If I'm going home back to Kent for the weekend to relax and be with my family I'll wear my signature scent for 2013, Artemis by Penhaligon's which makes me feel comforted, relaxed and genuinely happy.

Here are this months new discoveries, they are quite literally heavenly and all include some of my favourite seasonal notes; gardenia, jasmine to create a perfect summer collection of scents...

Lalique - Satine
Inspired by the world of Dance, Satine is a Sweet and powdery scent created for the most feminine of women. Notes for this sweet, floral fragrance include; Jasmine, gardenia, heliotrope, tonka bean, vanilla, pink pepper, sandalwood, cedar, patchouli, and suede. I adore this 1920's style bottle, it's so beautiful and a real dressing table addition.

Occasion/ situation: weekend with my girlfriends, afternoon tea with my mum or a summers day picnic

Ormonde Jayne - Fragipani
Linda Pilkington founder and creator of Ormonde Jayne is in my eyes queen of the perfume industry and has created perfumes so breathtaking you can't help but fall into the world of Ormonde Jayne perfumery. Fragpani is created with white frangipani along with jasmine and tuberose and elevated with water lilies and green orchid oil this perfume is a blast of floral freshness

Occasion/ situation: Just got out of the shower on a sunny summers morning, spritz to feel fresher than fresh and ready for new adventures.

Suzanne Neville - Poure Femme
Wearing a Suzanne Neville wedding dress is a truly special choice of British design, beauty and craftsman ship and wearing a Suzanne Neville fragrance is equally so.

This subtle fresh fragrance has a mysterious combination of oriental scents including Freesia, Gardenia and Coriander seeds with finishing notes of natural vanilla, Javan Patchouli and Vetiver Bourbon, and is said to be inspired by the ever loved classic Chanel No.5.
Poure Femme has of course been created to wear on your special day being an unforgettable and unique scent with the just the perfect balance of floral yet lasting notes, but if like me your not getting married it is still a beautiful fragrance and can be worn to mark a special occasion.

Occasion/ situation: Wedding day for brides, bridesmaids, maid of honour (this will apply to me for my best friends wedding next year!) or just as an everyday gorgeous scent of happiness.

Bottega Veneta
A more seductive version of Bottega's classic, signature scent. Bergamot and pink pepper open up this fragrance on first impression, and noticeably so if you are familiar with Bottega Veneta. The delicacy of gardenia and jasmine mixed with the musk of oak come together to leave us with a scent intimate and graceful.

Occasion/ Situation: Waking up in Paris with the feeling of unknown excitment but feeling subtly vulnerable.
